A Big “Whoops” Moment
Date: 12.07.2007
So here’s the story…
We’re in Europe for a bit, and Mrs Walsh thinks she’d quite like to go see the new Harry Potter movie. The word “movie” reminds me that it’s been over a week since I last posted up a video for you guys, so I decide to try and squeeze in a little trading quickly before heading out to the theatre.
Well I’ve said this before, and it’s worth saying again. Concentration is key when trading. The combination of trading in the afternoon (time differences suck), giving the commentary, and basically just being in a hurry mean that I mess up the exit of the one trade I have time for.
Here’s the video evidence (it’s a short one!)

Hi Harvey,
I’m trading your system (trying to) I found that It realy works! But…there is a huge BUT about Stop Loss. Usualy 10 cents doesn’t work. If you look at this video closely your stop loss shoud be about 80-90 cents lower to win this trade! Yesterday I tried 15 cents stop loss and I lost again. The stock went against me 16 cents , took my money and jumped to the direction it should go by your gap up strategy. I should make money, BUT I lost again. Do you trade without stop loss?
